A folk art, primitive painting of yellow poppies done on a slice of wood.
The painting is about 11 1/2" long by 5" at the tallest point. It is about 1/2" thick.
The slice of wood has most of its bark edge still intact.
The paint appears to be oil.
The piece is not signed or dated.
There is some paint loss, mostly on the flower to the left. There is a natural crack in the wood on the largest flower, that seems to have been filled with some kind of wood filler. Some of that filler has fallen out.
There is an old thumb tack and wire on the back for hanging.
A neat old folk art painting.
