An unusual decorated goose egg that was cut and hinged to open and reveal a small plastic figurine of the Virgin Mary holding Baby Jesus.
The egg is mounted on a gold tone metal stand with three butterflies. You can clearly see the puncture hole in the bottom of the egg.
The entire egg stands about 4 inches tall. It is about 9 inches across when open.
Decorated with faux pearls, gold braid, and two oval metal medallions, this interesting egg is in very nice vintage condition.
